Pride Month Kicks Off

Welcome to Pride Month, Kentucky! We're excited to be a part of the month-long events celebrating gay pride in the bluegrass. We hope to see you at the many events throughout June. The Imperial Court's Coronation is this weekend. Don't forget to come out and vote if you're a member of the Court. There are numerous shows throughout the weekend to see our local queens perform, and look for the members of the GLSO board at our table at Coronation and stop by to say hi!On Saturday, June 9th, don't miss Moveable Feast's Belmont BBQ. Enjoy good food and great company in support of one of Lexington's most important charities. The festivities start at 4pm. Contact Moveable Feast for more information! Our t-shirts for the Pride Festival are almost ready. We know that you all want one of the t-shirts that spawned all the recent controversy. Our t-shirt launch party is June 10th at Pulse! I hope to see everyone (who is of age!) out there to pick up your t-shirt before anyone else. The t-shirts are released at 8:30 and the drag show starts at 9:30. There's no cover, and the drag show is brought to you by Mr. and Mrs. Lexington Pride, Clayton Burchell and Georgia Peach. And on the night before the Pride Festival, we know you all will be celebrating fairness with Lexington Fairness at the 5th Annual Fairness Awards. At the Downtown Hilton, the Fairness Awards are the place to be seen on the night before Pride! Proceeds this year benefit Project Speak Out, Lexington's Fairness's anti-bullying campaign. A good cause, and an awesome event! See you there!June 30th is the big day! The Lexington Pride Festival returns for its fifth year.
