Available Volunteer Opportunities

The Lexington Pride Center offers a variety of opportunities to volunteer depending on an individual’s interest and skillset. Currently available opportunities are listed below:

  • Delivery driver for The People’s Market: Thursdays between 12pm - 5pm

    • Volunteers must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license and insurance, and ability to lift & carry food bags up to 50 lbs.

    • Drivers are required to provide proof of insurance and a copy of their license before volunteering.

  • Organizing the Pride Library: Available during center open hours

  • General organization and cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and wiping down surfaces: Available during center open hours

  • Merchandise organization: Available during center open hours

  • Front desk coverage, including answering phones, welcoming clients, and taking messages: Available during center open hours

    • Requirements include basic clerical skills such as verbal and written communication.

  • Fundraising and community partner research: Available during center open hours

  • Business Canvasing: Available during center open hours

  • Pride Auction & Restaurant Week Solicitation: Available during center open hours

  • Lexington Pride Festival, such as checking in vendors, helping vendors find their booth, 'runners' for day-of errands, selling merchandise: June 29th
